jj-boat

I have decided to build a new yacht, larger than Capsicum and in steel with a wooden deck and "Deck Salon". One of the reasons to use steel is that Adam has offered to help and he is a welder.

I will update the web site as jj-boat progresses, why the name?  I named it after my grandchildren's first name initials

joshua, joseph, ben, oliver and thomas.

The  a could stand for adam or andras. They have been a tremendous help to me.

The plan is to take a year to build the hull (finished December 2002) and a year to fit it out. Starting in March 2002. With hopefully to launch in April 2004. So if you want to help, just let me know. To late it is finished May 2005. I would like to thank Pauline for letting me keep jj and for fill my dream.

jj-boat Sail plan.
We will have a cutter rig (2 sails at the front)

Our layout
Large raised Deck Salon with Settee, table, arm chair, chart table & galley
3 Double cabins
Loo, shower
Large cockpit (the bit you sit outside in the Sun)

My plan is to spend a few months around the British coast, sorting out any problems, then sail to the Mediterranean. The best sailing will be around France & Portugal (look at the anchorage's) towards Gibraltar

Basing jj-boat around Moraira bay and mariner

Alicante/Moraira. About 12 hours sail from Ibiza. I will mostly be anchoring in bays and only use harbor's in bad weather.

A bay near Javea

A round the corner from Moraira

Moraira in is the region of Valencia. See a bit more of the area.

Then to Canaries or somewhere else hot for December/January.

I will update the pages as time goes by.
The plans have arrived!!
